As a Catholic Eucharistic Community, it is a core value for us to gather together with students, faculty, staff, families, and community members to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. In addition to Mass, students are provided ample opportunities to exercise their religion by practicing the rich traditions of our Catholic Faith. Being connected to St. Ambrose Parish is a great blessing for our community and it presents a unique association between parishioners and students. Catholic Central Students are called into action; bringing the faith that is nutured here, out to the greater community.
Celebrations of the Mass:
• Opening of the new school year
• Holy days of obligation
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas
• Catholic Schools Week
• Eucharistic Baccalaureate
Other Sacramental and Faith-Enriching Opportunities:

• Sacramental Preparation for First Reconciliation, First Holy
Communion, and Confirmation
• May Crowning Prayer Service
• Community Service ProjectsH
Each class will be empowered to lead a special Mass during the year. Students take on ministerial roles such as greeters, lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, and as members of Music Ministry.
The words of Jesus in Mark 6:31, “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while,” has inspired the institution of a Class Day of Reflection. In addition to the great academic and extra curricular opportunities that students experience, we encourage them to nurture their faith and spend time growing in their relationship with Jesus.
Our Crusaders are motivated to live their faith with joy and make it their own by taking advantage of spiritually enriching opportunities. We have had students travel to participate in the National Catholic Youth Conference (Indianapolis) and the March for Life (Washington DC), joining thousands of other young people in deepening their awareness of Jesus in their lives.
Closer to campus, students have gone on several Midnight Run missions into NYC to serve the community. On a more frequent basis, students are encouraged to participate in Youth Ministry events through their parishes to take advantage of these enriching opportunities. Every year, students are required to complete ten hours of service to their local community.
