Faith in Practice

Faith is central to our identity as Crusaders.

As a Catholic Eucharistic Community, we gather  together with students, faculty, staff, families, and community members to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. In addition to Mass, students are provided ample opportunities to exercise their religion by practicing the rich traditions of our Catholic Faith. Being connected to St. Ambrose Parish is a great blessing for our community and it presents a unique association between parishioners and students. Catholic Central Students are called into action — bringing their faith out into the greater community.

Celebrations of the Mass:

• Opening of the new school year
• Holy days of obligation
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas
• Catholic Schools Week
• Eucharistic Baccalaureate

Other Sacramental and Faith-Enriching Opportunities:

Faith in Action

Each class will be empowered to lead a special Mass during the year. Students take on ministerial roles such as greeters, lectors, eucharistic ministers, and members of music ministry.

Nurturing Faith on Campus

In the words of Jesus, Mark 6:31, Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while. This quote has inspired CCS’s Class Day of Reflection. In addition to the academic and extra curricular opportunities that students experience, we encourage them to nurture their faith and spend time growing in their relationship with Jesus.

Living the Mission.

Our Crusaders are motivated to embody and express their faith by taking advantage of spiritually enriching opportunities. Over the years, students have participated in the National Catholic Youth Conference (Indianapolis) and the March for Life (Washington DC), joining thousands of other young people in deepening their awareness of Jesus in their lives.

Our students have also served metropolitan areas through Midnight Run missions to NYC. Catholic Central encourages participation in Youth Ministry events through their parishes. Every year, students are required to complete ten hours of service to their local community.
