The Athletics Department at Catholic Central School is founded on our belief that interscholastic athletics provide educational value for our students, helping to develop character and resiliency which will lead to success later in life.
CRUSADER ATHLETES
•Embrace the discipline needed to reach high levels of athletic performance.
•Collaborate with others in pursuit of a common goal.
•Foster sportsmanship, adhering to codes of fair play, self-control, and respect.
•Develop Crusader values on and off the field.
Students interested in playing sports are required to sign up in the school health office.
Students will need:
The Physical Examination Form and Interval Health History Form must be handed in before tryouts/practice starts.
(Students who have not been approved by the school health office will be considered ineligible for sports)
Students must have a Physical Examination within 12 months of the beginning of the sport season. Students may visit the school nurse’s office to see if they have a valid physical on file. If a physical is on file, students will become eligible for a sport once they return the Interval Health History Form and Emergency Athletic Form with a parents signature—provided all injuries have been cleared by a physician.
Note: All transfers must be approved by Section 2 of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association
At Catholic Central School, student-athletes are required to submit a Transportation Acknowledgement & Authorization form when an alternative pick-up arrangement is necessary, specifying the name of the individual (other than a guardian) who will be responsible for transportation of the athlete. This ensures the safety and accountability of students. Additionally, all student-athletes must sign a Sportsmanship Pledge, committing to uphold the values of respect, integrity, and fair play, on and off the field. This pledge is a vital component of our athletic program, emphasizing the importance of character development alongside physical skills.
